The Serengeti ecosystem is located mainly in northern Tanzania and extends into south-western Kenya It spans approximately 30,000 km2. The Kenyan part of the Serengeti is known as Maasai Mara. The Serengeti hosts the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world, a million wildebeest, each driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable life cycle. a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; As they plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus to Maasai Mara in Kenya it’s for the fittest to survive. Serengeti national park is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th wonder of the world. the Serengeti national park is famed for its annual migration, when zebras and Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for greener pasture. even when it’s not the migration season, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.
Day 1: Lake Manyara
After breakfast, pick up from the hotel in Arusha and be briefed on the safari by our guide then drive to Lake Manyara National Park, with picnic lunch, afternoon game drive in lake Manyara National Park host to a variety of Bird life, Hippos and several troupes of Baboon and if lucky tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Lake Camp/Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Eyasi – Karatu
After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi, visit the salty lake, and the Bushmen around the lake, exchange ideas about their cultural activities and their way of life, take picnic lunch, and drive back Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National park with picnic lunch via Olduvai Gorge the cradle of Mankind, after the tour of the Gorge, proceed to Nabi Gate to start exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge
Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Full day game viewing in Serengeti National Park, lunch at Serengeti Sopa Lodge, after lunch evening game drive meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro crater
Morning breakfast and drives to Ngorongoro, then descend into the Ngorongoro crater floor the home of Lion, Elephant, and Rhino hyenas enjoy game drive with picnic lunch, dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara.
Day 6: Mto wa Mbu – Tarangire
Early breakfast, then drive to Tarangire National park the home of paithon, elephant, baobab trees, silale Plane, Tarangire River for game viewing with picnic lunch, leave Tarangire for Arusha where the safari ends.
